Yarn Over Bind Off – YO BO

The yarn over bind off (YO BO) is similar to a standard bind off, but with a yarn over between stitches. This addition of a yarn over creates a bind off that is stretchier than a standard bind off.

Abbreviation: YO BO
K1, *YO, k1.  Use left needle to lift YO and first k1 over last k1 on right needle and drop off both needles.  Rep from * until only 1 stitch remains on right needle. Cut yarn and pull through last stitch.

K1, *YO, k1. Use left needle to lift YO and first k1 over last k1 on right needle and drop off both needles. K1. Use left needle to lift first k1 over last k1 on right needle and drop off both needles. Rep from * until only 1 stitch remains on right needle. Cut yarn and pull through last stitch.

While the yarn over bind off has a yarn over between every stitch, the modified version of this bind off has a yarn over between every two stitches.
