Once I realized that a creative life was something I had to work for, and defend, it has been a key focus in my work. This is work I do because I need to, want to, and feel it has value for both myself and others.

the ability to make or bring into existence something new, whether a solution to a problem, a method or device, or an artistic object or form

Here are some key components of creativity that I jotted down: individual display autonomy, have a mastery of a particular domain, may have exceptionally deep and broad, flexible awareness of themselves; have sensitivity to problems. Curiosity and Problem Solving.
I would also say that just because I am exceptionally creative in my areas of expertise and endeavor, I show none of this other parts of my life!
Sharing Having A Creative Life
When I began teaching at FIDM I realized that although we taught creative skills, a creative life was never addressed in the curriculum. I added it as a thread through every class I taught and I tried to model it in my own words and actions. No one can tell you what makes a successful creative life, but I do know that it is not all about money. Nothing wrong with money, but it doesn’t breed creativity.
