Sometimes I get bogged down on projects and they get put aside, usually for no really good reason, except then it kind of slips my mind. Sometimes it is the pattern sputters, sometimes it is finishing on the sample, and then there is photography! I’ve been working on clearing up some of those projects lately so I can do a photoshoot.
I finished a sample of the Florence cardigan in Kauri from Zealana. I didn’t knit it, but I was putting it together and ran into some minor problems in fitting the pieces together and a piece of the yoke had to be reknit, which really slowed me down. I wanted to wear it at TNNA, so I had to get it done. I’d purchased a button at Britex, which looks fine, but I was talking to Susan at Renaissance Buttons at TNNA and she felt I could do better. We looked through what she had, and she was just getting ready to go shopping for new buttons, so we left it undecided, but she has agreed to help me with buttons if I send her swatches. Doesn’t that sound like fun?
I went over to talk to Susan because my friend Jeane was with a customer in her booth and Susan was right next door. Susan was fun, and we hit it off, and who doesn’t love beautiful buttons? So Florence is done and I have a new button connection! But now I know I can do better on the button. Need to send yarn to Susan!
