The featured image photo (also at end of this post) shows this being worn as a collar with a wide-neck top. The photo above is more of a scarf.
Well it turns out tech editors take time off too. Mine went to visit her mother, but is back at her desk, so we’re just a day or two behind on getting this one out.
I love the shawl, but I think this is so fun and versatile. I like putting beads into knitting and think this adds a vintage vibe to this piece. while adding some weight to a delicate edge.
Each pattern repeat takes about 8 yards of yarn, plus what you need for I-cord. I got mine out of 200 yards with 21 repeats. The pattern is easy to learn using either the chart or the written pattern.
This is a great way to swatch for the shawl. This yarn has great yardage so you might even consider giving this away to someone not lucky enough to get the yarn. Or not.
