Blog Agenda

While blogging is supposed to be a way to share what’s on my mind, I often put it off, and the topic I was thinking about gets resolved, or no longer seems important, or I forget, or whatever, before I get the blog done.  I have lots I want to share with you, but sometimes I’m, well, just too busy doing things to get around to blogging.

I’ve been knitting hats.  I needed new samples so I could take pictures of a hat that I designed years ago.  One of the yarns was no longer available, and I had a great yarn for the hat that needed a design, and well, one thing led to another and the hat pattern was expanded, and I’ve been making samples.  Since I don’t have a lot of knitting time, hats are a great project.  One down, one about 3 inches away, and now I’m looking for yarn to make others.

I don’t keep a lot of yarn laying around.  I like to have just what I’m using or thinking about using because it is distracting to me and I feel guilty if I have yarn I’m not using.  But sometimes this makes it limiting when I am trying to fill a need for a certain type or gauge of yarn.

What struck me about this hat that I’m redoing is how much I like it even though it has been  around for a while.  I remember how much I liked doing it when I came up with it, and I am often easily bored, so I think it is a good sign that I still like it.

So I need to make a blog agenda so I don’t have to rely on what is going on in my head, or get distracted, etc.

The new hat will go to the tech editor today.  Hopefully we can publish it in the next ten days.  Stay tuned.  I’ll post pictures and the name!
