Where Have I Been?
I’ve been pretty quiet because I got an opportunity to create a class for Craftsy–and since I love to teach this seems like a really great opportunity for me–and you! The timeline has been short, so I’ve had virtually no extra time; it has also been a truly great experience, which I wouldn’t have wanted to pass up, but it is time consuming. So I am just poking my head above the bunker so I can check in quickly, then get back to my class work.
Lately I’ve had negative time, so no blog, no newsletter, nothing but focus, focus, focus. Why do I ever think I will catch up? Clearly there are always projects I can’t resist. Look for short, sharp, focused posts between now and April 28 when I fly Denver to tape the class. I’ll give details when I can. This is one of the sample yarns I got to use!
What is New?
Infinite Twist has released Mount Emei as a kit. This is an awesome bargain at $68 for 500 yards of yarn, the pattern, a project bag, a bamboo circular needle, stitch markers, a yarn needle, and a pattern marking pencil. The pattern is not currently available as a stand alone
We’ve been having a new fence built in our tiny backyard, which has also been exciting–and although it has taken a while from when Mitch got the idea for it to execution, like two years–it has been so worth it. We knew it would look good, but we didn’t really anticipate how it would change the appearance of the back deck. All of this reminded me of knitting. It requires vision and faith–plus time and a lot of work!
