Apologies for the photo quality–I was using my old iPod which doesn’t take great photos. Combined with my photography skills, and ambiguity on my part about taking photos of myself (clearly, those fabulous selfies take some practice!), I’m probably lucky to get something this good. I got Mitch to take a picture too, which resulted in these:
I was excited to wear this dress which I thought looked great on me. We had a fundraiser to go to. Met friends at The Village Pub in Woodside before going to our event. Can you believe that lovely scarf? My mother brought it from Paris for me in, oh, like 1990. Not surprisingly, the best photo is the one where I wasn’t paying attention as I rushed to put down my reading glasses.
But on to the important stuff–more yarn. Our mail lands on the garage floor 99% of the time, even though there is a bag/basket for it to fall into. So when we’ve been out in the car it is sometimes a trick to get into the garage without running over the odd package that made it through the mail slot.
My reward on Saturday was this little “appetizer” of yarn from Delicious Yarn. They had the plastic forks with yarn samples in their booth at TNNA and I stopped to look for something and we saw the yarn and their delicious booth, and were persuaded to take a forkful. I threw it in my bag and when I unpacked I was getting ready to just throw it away, but touched the yarn, and felt I needed to send them an email. They replied and offered to send me some sample yarn. So here it is. It joins an ever-growing list of yarns I want to swatch.
I am hoping that I can get the post office to release the package they tried to leave last weekend. When I got to the post office later in the week to pick it up they were unable to find the package and offered to call me. Of course I’ve never heard from them, so back I go. We were too late getting out on our errands for me to go to the post off on Saturday (lines would have been long, and I had too many things on my errands list already).
