and have access to lots of hat projects.
My Chocco is named for a woman known for wearing turbans. This fits snugly around the head and will give warmth as well as style. It also covers a bare head. The pattern has three sizes, and you can see it works with hair too. The version shot for the book has a duplicate stitch pattern on the band and back panel. Totally optional. I’ve also done versions with embroidery on the front. It can be customized for the wearer.
The hat is done flat to keep it accessible to all knitters. This version is done in heavy worsted weight yarn (3.625 sts/in), in a single ply. Just remember, if this is a breast cancer hat it should be something that is very soft (mine is merino and silk, single ply). The four hats shown on my projects page were all done in the same yarn.
