This is a video I did using Facebook Live on Adding Embellishments to Knits.
The Adding Embellishments download (adding-embellishments-download) will give you hat recipes and a worksheet for working out your gauge and size, plus the charts for bobbles and leaves.

I have provided two hat recipes for your experimentation and use.
The Napa Valley Hat Recipe is designed to create a quick hat, but also allow some stitch pattern exploration. I’ve used the Seed, Moss, Double Seed stitch patterns and 1×1 Rib. Any variation of Rib or the Seed Stitch cousins you like will work. Gauge varies slightly between the stitch patterns, so use it as a feature!
The Go High Hat Recipe is an in-the-round variation of the hat for the Pussy Hat Project for the Women’s March on Washington on January 21, 2017.
Also included is a Worksheet for gathering and recording information.
Finally, there are charts for making the Seed stitch bobbles and leaves I used in the Facebook Live demo.
The Adding Embellishments download contains recipes for hats, not patterns. You will need to choose the needles, yarn, and decide how to use stitch patterns, to be used to create your hat to embellish. I have made suggestions and told you what I did as guidance. Use the worksheet for gathering and recording the information needed to make your own recipe. I’ve found these hats take about 65g of worsted weight yarn, and about 35g of DK or sport weight yarn. You may get different results based on your round/row gauge and how you tension your yarn.
These two hats are perfect for embellishing because their crowns are not shaped. There is an alternate closure method in the Go High Hat Recipe which will give your hat a rounded appearance, but should not interfere with embellishing it.
