I had some leftover yarn from another project. I cannot bear having unused yarn laying around, and I’d been wanting another Lisbon, so I sent the yarn off to a knitter. Of course it is never as straightforward as I hope, and we had to get more yarn, but pretty much, it was just tons of knitting. The trim is Agave and the main color is Dusty Rose. This is 100% North American Shetland, dyed by my friend/colleague Jeane deCoster.
I got the box with the unblocked piece on Thursday. and took photos. Yesterday I blocked it at my ironing board. My ironing board has a vacuum in it, so I block, steam, and pull the steam out with the vacuum, and it is like I wet blocked it, or steam blocked it and left it sit for a few hours. But I don’t have to find five square feet to block it in. When it gets washed it will probably be slightly softer, but I am going to take it as is to TNNA.
