Napoli Swatching (available as a separate document )
Begin by selecting the yarns you would like to use. You can use any yarn you’d like, from 3 sts to 9 sts to 1″ / 2.54 cm! For the e-Book version of the pattern you will have to do your own calculations for gauge and stitches, but I have guidance as you go. There is a Napoli Increase Calculator (NIC) in the Pattern Tailor to calculate your increases and rate of increases for the Drape.
Needles
Choose your needles based on your yarn.
- When choosing the diameter of your needle, you can use the needle size recommended by the manufacturer or change it according to your preference:
- Use a smaller needle, you will get a denser fabric.
- If you use a bigger needle, you will get a more open fabric.
Make a Swatch
Although it is not strictly necessary to swatch for this head wrap, having actual swatch information will give you much more accurate final dimensions.
