I knitted this up last night because we no longer had a sample for the Ruffled Wedding Garter. I had 14g of yarn, and ended up with 13.5″ left. That means I used about 28 yards of Fixation. No wonder it took me less than an hour! I still need to work the ends in, but I wanted to get a photo showing how close I was to not making it.
That means that little bit of yarn has now become a useful item. I will need to get some ribbon before I can do a proper photo. I polished the pattern a little because I like it with the flexible long-tail cast on, but otherwise, it worked perfectly and I just followed along. I can’t remember when I first published the pattern, but it was probably 10 years ago. Nice to know it is still a keeper.
My internet has been wonky for almost a week now. I don’t know what is wrong, but I do know that if it isn’t fixed soon I will lose my mind. My files are mostly kept in the cloud and I use other cloud programs for keeping up with my assistant (fortunately she is on vacation this week), so this gets a little frustrating. I need to do a little research on some local items and without the internet that is really hard. We don’t have current phone books and I’m so used to just searching for things that it boggles my mind to try and figure out how to find things without it. Of course the other computer user here goes to his office so he isn’t suffering.
