Seeded Bath Set Test Launching

Seeded Bath Set Test kicks off on July 15!

This test is seasonally adjusted and uses cotton.

This Seeded Bath Set test is opening early (ahead of launch on July 15) because I want to find knitters that are just right for this project.

I am looking for some newer knitters along with all other levels for the Bath Set test.  Do not be afraid to jump in! Can’t wait?  Go here to sign up!

Bath Set Test: These face cloths are a great quick project. Easy.

Bath Set Test: The soap sac can be worked flat (easy) or in-the-round (moderately easy)

The Seeded Bath Set pattern is designed to be a launching pad for the newer knitter who is ready to build their skills. To that end, this pattern is presented as a tutorial with plenty of details. More experienced knitters can work through the pattern instructions, while also learning techniques such as the flexible long-tail cast on.

Tell me what you skill level is — all levels are welcome here. I will provide feedback forms to help you share your suggestions on instruction clarity. Can’t wait?  Go here to sign up!

Updated Bath Set Test Pattern

I have completely updated this pattern!  Not only did I make this pattern more detailed, I added Action charts, improved written instructions, and added graphics and photos.

Jill Wolcott Knits patterns are written using full sentences.  I use tables to present most row-by-row instructions.  The written instructions are mirrored in the Action charts, and in your knitting.

I cannot fit into the shoes of a beginning knitter, or even a knitter who doesn’t know everything that is going to happen in the pattern and knitting, so I am looking to test knitters to help me see the pattern through their eyes and experience.

Get Yarn!

Universal Yarn is providing me with some skeins of Cotton Supreme, which I will provide to some lucky knitters (I need to ship, so you must be in the US). I do not need the samples back, but I do need decent photos from you.  I will do a random drawing on July 7, then ship yarn. Can’t wait?  Go here to sign up!

Great Photos of Your Bath Set Test

To uphold the generosity of Universal Yarn, and to let other knitters see your knitted results, I will send yarn to seven knitters in the US who can show me their ability to take a decent photo.  Please be ready to show me your project pages or other photos of knitted projects.

Seeded Bath Set

I use these face cloths every day to wash my face. I found that the fan shape was the easiest to use. The face cloths are also great as baby wash cloths, as hostess or thank-you gifts, or can be used in the kitchen.  The soap sac is perfect for the shower, but together with a face cloth, and a bar of soap, makes an excellent gift set.  Add in the bath mitt and you have a spa set anyone is likely to enjoy.  These items are sturdy, and useful, but also good looking. Can’t wait?  Go here to sign up!
