Shooting Star From Marcela Chang

Eloquence is not one of my great friends these days, . . . , the pandemic has affected me a little more than I would like. . . . Christine was one of the first to finish her design, I was still in my limbo of doubts. I really liked his inspiration and how she used the stitches. I said to myself: “I’m going to use an echo of her design in mine to create a homogeneous collection.” Then I thought about Carol’s design, and how she used the stitches in colorwork. Colorwork is one of my favorite techniques and I thought I would echo Christine’s design in colorwork. I really like the result, I think it reflects my personality a lot and it is very part of the collection as well. Living in South America, the colors and the folklore of the Andean cultures surround me and are part of my daily life. I wanted my design to be eclectic, to be local and global at the same time.
