All sizes, all body types. I discuss key points that everyone can use.
A System of Grading allows changing gauge in your spread sheets to create project variations. Use different sizing tables to create inclusive sizing while maintaining design integrity. Get numbers in, then pull them out into a pattern, check them.
Feel free to knit during class!
I do my classes using GoToMeeting. You will get log-in information. I prefer that I be the only one using video to accommodate varying internet speeds. You can log in from a computer, tablet, or phone. No need to call, just log in.
I’m wearing a design called Lake Alta, in Civility Sport. I have not published the design. I put it on because it was on my desk and I was on a video call (I always wear my designs!).
That’s me. Jill Wolcott of Jill Wolcott Knits. I’m totally not a real red head, but I’ve been a red head since my 20s. The Yellow is more recent (and now much lighter during the pandemic). I cannot read without glasses, so I always have reading glasses on; I currently have 5 pairs in the daily lineup. Behind me is my white board which has an arrangement of Paper Stitches on it. The tiny purple note is my list of IT help I need from my spouse. My dress form is wearing a version of The Remarkables. I try, but there is usually untamed chaos in the background.

Inclusivity is the goal in sizing (and other things). Find out how to make the right decisions so that your work represents the sizes presented in their best possible way. A good fit is essential for true inclusivity! This is material that takes time to digest; you will get recordings of all sessions so you can go back and review.
In teaching I typically use examples from missy sizing, but the concepts are applicable to children, men’s, and plus- or other-sizes. I have taught a plus-size specific grading course. The sizing origin numbers are different, and the specifics may vary, but the application is the same.
New to the Summer Session of ASOG: There will be a plus/other size option for all projects.
