Description

First Becoming the Knitter/Designer Chat Is an introduction and I will be giving you some food for thought.  This will be approximately 1 hour and I will give some material to get the conversation rolling.  I will provide documents as needed.

First Becoming Chat

You can come via video (I’ll have lipstick on!) or just come to chat (no video).  Sign up to get the log-in information.  Use any device or computer.  Come with answers to the questions on the first tab. We’ll see where we go from there.  I want to get beyond “I love to knit” or “I love to design” and get to “what do I want from knitting/design”.

The invitation to the GoToMeeting login is the pdf you will get the link to after purchasing this.

Future Becoming Chats are every other week and cost $10 to join in.  You can get a package for a bit of a discount.  Also on Payhip if you are outside of North America.

Why Becoming Chat?

I love talking about knitting, and yarn, and what knitting brings to our lives.  For me knitting is a metaphor for life, but we aren’t always paying attention to it that way.  However you want your knitting to reflect your life, let’s do it!

It is a challenge to be creative person, or to feel passionately about something that non-knitters see as just a hobby.  Whether you are a passionate knitter or a designer you are seeking a way to make knitting a fulfilling part of your life.  I want to help you figure out a path toward that.  Being creative and pursuing your passion is 1) not a straight path, 2) not as easy as it may look, and 3) really hard to remain focused on.

Topics for 2021 TBA!

Those are my thoughts.  While I may think I know, I really want to know what you think and want.  I’ve been on my path, well this knitting specific path, since 1993.  I’ve learned a thing or two along the way.

Outside North America?

I am using PayHip because they do VAT!  You can sign up there and get exactly what I have here in terms of downloads and information. So click over to there.  I will likely figure out how to put the button here, but until then just use the link.

I also will be starting a one-on-one consulting service, Jill Wolcott Knits Studio Sessions.  You can set time with me to help you solve issues, professional, specifically knitting, design related, or other life-related advice.   The first 15 minutes are free, then you sign up for additional blocks of time at $12.50/15 min.  I will also do small groups (you put the group together) and will give you a quote on cost.
