Granite Cowl in Powder River DK

Description
Granite Cowl
Granite cowl is a comfortably squishy cowl with a stylish twist. Begin with Cat Bordhi’s moebius cast-on and work horizontal ribs through the singular magic of a moebius.
A single eyelet round expands into more than it appears. Can you tell where this begins or ends?
Flexibility is a key element here: end the horizontal ribs when needed to stay within your skein of yarn, or keep going. Follow this link to my blog post on figuring out how much yarn you’ll need for your JSSBO so you can knit with confidence and just enjoy the pleasure of knitting a moebius.

Yarn Used in Granite Cowl
Powder River DK from Mountain Meadow Wool, 60% Mountain Merino, 30% American alpaca, 10% black Rambouillet, 100g or 3.5 oz/255 yds (233 m).
Model in Natural used approximately 100g/255 yds (233 m).
I design with yarns I love. Mountain Meadow Wool is a company I’ve know nearly since the beginning of their adventure in hand knitting yarns. This yarn uses carefully sorted alpaca from American Alpaca growers that is a nice mocha color, along with a merino specially blended with black Ramouillet to achieve the subtle gray. Twisted together this yarn has luster and depth that can’t be beat, whether used in the natural color blend, or one of the four over-dyed colors. It is special to me because I “discovered” it in a pile of mistake yarn. My hand reached to it, and my enthusiasm set off the Powder River Collection.
