J-Squared Knitwear Design Intensive is focused on knitwear
design and fit. Engage in the worlds of fashion,
creativity, and math while we walk through design concept to working pattern.
Bonus Mentoring day on March 14.

Why a Knitwear Design Intensive?
Knitwear designers and pattern writers need two things: creativity and skills to apply to patterns and design. Spend five days in a knitwear design intensive learning environment to update, refresh, and bring together your own best capabilities as a designer or pattern writer by clarifying goals, honing your skills, and feeding your creativity. Registration for this 5-day intensive will cap at a maximum of 15 attendees.
J-Squared Design Intensive Cost: $1200/per person* exclusive of accommodations, meals, and transporation
Mentoring Day Cost: $50/per person exclusive of accommodations, meals, and transporation.

What You Will Find at the J–Squared Knitwear Design Intensive
Grading: Background on why fit works the way it does. You will learn to make a re-usable spread sheet, applying individual and standard sizing, and how to make adjustments for gauge, stitch repeats, working flat or ITR. Using spreadsheets to figure out increases, decreases, shaping.
Design & Creativity: How to make the most of your own design perspective as well as how to expand your ideas into collections or multiple pieces. Use the principles and elements of design to create design and your best creative life. Explore making fit and design work together to express your unique perspective.
Mentoring: Available as add-on (Saturday, March 14, 10 am to 6:30) for only $50! Sit with Jeane then Jill (or vice versa!) to focus on your needs and spend time working on how to expand and build your products and creativity. Walk away with specifics you need for how to get where you want to be.
