Description

makLangley Section 1 contains all the information you need to decide if you want to be a part of the Langley Neck Wrap knit along. Since patterns are digital, I believe it is helpful to the knitter to get their hands on this information before they get started.

I will be providing measurements as we get closer to the release of the pattern.  The measurements and yarn amounts are for my sample, and you have the power to make this whatever measurements you choose!  Obviously, yarn amounts will vary. I give my measurements for reference.

*You need to swatch to have accurate information. If you use ball band
information instead of making a swatch, the outputs by the Pattern Tailor may not be
completely accurate.

Using the Langley Pattern Tailor

I will be doing live webinars, and recordings of how to use the Pattern Tailor at each step of the Knit Along.

Getting the Langley Neck Wrap Pattern

This pattern will only be available to participants in the Langley Neck Wrap Knit Along.

  1. Pattern instructions will be released as-we-go.
  2. I may not make the pattern available after the Knit Along.
  3. This is a unique opportunity to work along with the designer!

Free Sample Yarn Opportunity

I am willing to provide yarn for a sample to one person, however I can only mail within the United States.

I have pulled yarn from my yarn shelves.  The darker yarn is teal and is worsted.  The light yarn is mohair.  The knitter gets to keep the sample. You will be obligated to give me a good photo (as we agree).

On the left is a skein of worsted weight yarn from Neighborhood Fiber Company (teals), on the right is mohair from Keira Wiggins called Slate, a soft teal/gray

Sizes

Measurements based on your preferences.

Gauge

You select the gauge that works with your yarn. The calculations for making your size are based on stitch gauge and row gauge.

Needles

Needles to work with the yarn you choose. I used size 5(3.75mm) needles for the body and US size 3(3.25mm) for the trims.

I am a loose knitter.

Supplies

Stitch markers, tapestry needles. An extra needle for the flexible long-tail cast on. Waste yarn or stitch holders.

Yarn

Any gauge yarn will work. This is a design that doesn’t the the memory of wool, so plant fibers, manufactured fibers, silk, wool, alpaca, etc. will all work.
I recommend two colors or two textures for greatest impact.

As Shown

The sample shown on the cover is recycled cashmere (solid) and yak (multi). I’ve made it using alpaca, as well as wool single and mohair. I am currently knitting a sample in silk/linen and mohair.
