Why Fractional Measurements? Do you ever have trouble remembering what 0.25 of a yard is in inches? What about .9 of a meter in centimeters?
Fractional Measurement are for you!
We all have enough to remember without having to have this information sitting in our brains. Just remember that you can come here to get it!
I use 0.125″ fractions because that is how I measure, but that is a personal preference. For metric I use 0.1 fractions. Also, I round according to Excel so I don’t ever have to make the decision.
Fractional Measurements: Yards
This table is using 36″ as the full yard (because that is what a yard is!), so these are inches. For meters, go to the next table.

Fractional Measurements: Meters
Meters are no sweat using 100 cm as the full meter (because that is what a meter is!), so these are centimetres/centimeters. For yards, use the above table.

Fractional Measurements: Hours 0.1
People who keep time sheets are familiar with 10ths of an hour (6 minute increments). Don’t sweat it, just use this table.

Fractional Measurements: Hours 0.125
If you are like me, it is more likely that you are thinking in quarter hours. But what if you need to refine that a bit? Eighths. You got it. Use this table.
