Knitting stitches together through the back loops, as in k2tog-b, k3tog-b, etc. is a twisted left leaning decrease. “k2tog-b” is sometimes worked in place of an “ssk.”
Knit 2 Stitches Together Through the Back Loops
Abbreviation: k2tog-b
With right needle behind the left needle, go into first and second stitches, behind the left needle, then knit as one stitch.
Knit 3 Stitches Together Through the Back Loops
Abbreviation: k3tog-b
With right needle behind the left needle, go into the first 3 stitches, behind the left needle, then knit as one stitch.
Knit 4 Stitches Together Through the Back Loops
Abbreviation: k4tog-b
With right needle behind the left needle, go into the first 4 stitches, behind the left needle, then knit as one stitch.
Knit 5 Stitches Together Through the Back Loops
Abbreviation: k5tog-b
With right needle behind the left needle, go into the first 5 stitches, behind the left needle, then knit as one stitch.
