In knitting, sometimes you drop a stitch. When that happens it’s easy to panic. But all you have to do is pick up and knit dropped stitch.
In Jill Wolcott Knits® patterns, I often use the term “pull up” in place of “pick up” as I think the term is clearer, because you’re pulling up the thread to work it.
How to pull up / pick up and knit dropped stitch
Put the tip of the right needle into stitch from back to front. Lift stitch onto left needle to knit. Knit stitch.
Picking up and knitting a dropped stitch is similar to picking up and knitting a from waste yarn without the waste yarn.
