Purl-Twist (P-T): p2tog and leave the original stitch on the left needle then, from behind the left needle, insert the right needle into the space between the sts in the p2tog and into the first st just worked and purl it, then slide both sts from the left needle.
The purl-twist knot is a lovely stitch, but a little more difficult to work! The fabric that results is firm and nicely textured. Take the time to practice. It won’t get much faster to do it, but it will be less of a struggle!
The stitch has a slight tendency to bias toward the left, so it requires wet blocking and some gentle tugging to get it aligned properly.
