What is the smallest number of stitches for a moebius that will fit around your 40″ / 100 cm needle? I’ve had this floating around on my desk for months, but now you can use these tables!
I’ve created a pdf you can download. You can get it here my shop, and I wouldn’t mind if you left a small amount of compensation for my efforts.
I was wondering what the smallest number of stitches for a moebius would be that you could cast on. Some of these will likely not work if the needle has full-size needles and stiff cables or may require a lot of shoving the stitches around until there is enough fabric to give some flexibility (i.e., the first few rounds will be very tedious to work). But if you are wondering, this will give you a nice place to start. My experience on the needles would prove this to be fairly accurate.

Why the Smallest Number of Stitches for a Moebius?
Jamie and I were talking once as we were working on a calculator, and the subject came up. I immediately figured it out for the stitch pattern multiple we were using and made a rough table which has been floating around my desk ever since. Now I can throw that piece of paper away, and we all can reference what the smallest number of stitches we can cast on for a moebius.
