I’m having a huge influx of yarn because of TNNA. I’ve taken photos of everything that I brought back from TNNA, but now I’m getting yummy things in the mail! I am always jazzed when I open the package, even when I know what I’m getting, but this one really stopped me. From Happy Fuzzy Yarns, merino/tencel in Sugar Maple. Fortunately I know what this will be so I don’t even have to torture myself thinking about it! Just need to swatch for needle size.
Then came a second hank of TweedleDeeDum from the Wonderland Yarn collection from Frabjous Fibers to finish the Binkie which I am updating. This is deliciously colored super wash wool yarn. I’ve enjoyed this quick project. As if this weren’t enough, I got notice from the post office that they had tried to deliver the Civility I’ve been waiting for from Jeane at Elemental Affects. Two weights of luscious, springy, 70% merino and 30% silk, spun and plied by our friends at Mountain Meadow Wool. I’ll be swatching from my pattern catalog so we can recommend projects which already have patterns while we work on designing for these yarns.
I’ve been swatching the Civility Sock and it is everything that was promised. Luscious, springy and nicely plied and twisted. Yesterday I cast on Civility Sock II and it is quite different, but not.
